The Bookmobile makes scheduled stops in Albemarle County and Charlottesville Monday through Thursday. The people who staff the Bookmobile are Marien Ruiz Villaman, who heads the Bookmobile office and handles the Albemarle stops, and Alan Van Clief who handles the Charlottesville stops.
The Bookmobile has its own collection and carries 1800 to 2000 books to each stop. The walls are lined with shelves of books that include fiction and nonfiction books for adults, teens, and children, as well as CD and play-away audiobooks. Included are mysteries, fantasy, biographies, cookbooks, history, and folk and fairy tales.

- Come in and browse our collections for all ages
- Place holds and pick them up at your stop
- Request materials on particular subjects
- Bookmobile materials check out for one month
- Renew for an additional month
- Return Bookmobile materials to any JMRL location

The bookmobile does not run in the 5th week of the month. Please consult your calendar for exact dates. The Bookmobile does not run if Albemarle County Schools are closed for inclement weather. Listen to radio station WINA (1070 am) and TV 29 for cancellation notices.
